Internship Program

How to apply

1) Register your interest in an internship

Our internship program is managed by Australian Internships but we will require you to contact us before referring you to Australian Internships.

2) Apply

It is essential that you apply to join the Internship program at the START of your time at Martin College.  You will be required to supply:

3) Interview

As we tailor every internship to meet the individual skills of each student, you will need to attend an interview before we begin the search for your placement.  If you are not currently in a capital city in Australia this interview will be done via phone or Skype.

4) Acceptance

Once you are accepted into the Internship program you will be assigned an Internship Program Supervisor who will manage your case and work with the placement officer to locate the most suitable internship for you.  You will be in contact with the Internship Program Supervisor on a regular basis.  If you are an international student you will work with your Internship Program Supervisor to ensure your visa requirements are met.

For some positions it may be necessary for you to have a police check and/or medical clearance and this could take some time.

5 Wait

It will take at least 4-6 months for us to find you the Internship which suits your requirements.  You will be studying at Martin College while this happens so this will not be a problem.  You will be in regular contact with your Internship Program Supervisor during this time.

6) Commence internship

You will be required to sign a Training Agreement which contains all relevant information relating to the placement including location and contacts as well as the tasks you will be required to perform.
