Legend

(P) Partial completion only – more than one SGA Learning Unit is required for these units of competency.

^ Competencies nominated for the Martin College version of the National Qualification Diploma of Information Technology (Systems Adminstration) ICA50305. Variations may be possible, providing the Qualification Packaging Rules identified are fully met.

* Those marked with an asterisk contain underpinning skills and knowledge applicable to the nominated units of competency.

The unmarked additional units of competency are included within the Martin College version of the Diploma of Information Technology (Systems Administration) as they contain important skills, knowledge and understanding which will underpin and significantly contribute to the attainment of the highlighted units above, as well as assist each graduate with their studies, and to attain employment or university credit packages upon graduation.

The Certificate III in Information Technology (ICA30105) is nested in this course to provide learners with the necessary knowledge and skills required for the higher level units, while enabling them an early exit with the qualification should they choose to do so. The Certificate IV in Information Technology (General) ICA40105 is partially embedded in this course, and provides an additional exit point for learners; a Statement of Attainment would be applicable to such learners.

While it is expected that most participants will achieve competency through the completion of the Martin College course, Skills Recognition will be available for any applicant who can provide valid evidence of already having attained any or all of the competencies.
