The Gold Coast campus recently celebrated its 10th birthday anniversary in true Gold Coast fashion with a BBQ held in a local park on a fabulously sunny day. The campus was opened on 29th September 1997 and has seen a number of changes.
Campus Principal Warren Walmsley, who has led the team throughout the last 10 years, donned his apron and Study Group cap and helped cook a mouth watering Aussie BBQ lunch for the students and their friends.
This was a fantastic time for students and teachers to mix and an opportunity to make new friends with the many different nationalities at the Gold Coast campus. Activities included international games of baseball, cricket and soccer, with all enjoying the beautiful surroundings, good food and great company. A birthday cake was cut by one of our veteran students, and was quickly shared by all.
One of the highlights of the day was the ‘celebrity’ wedding; so congratulations to Julia Williams, Platypus Club Coordinator and BBQ organiser, on tying the knot.
All in all, it was another truly successful and memorable Gold Coast birthday.
