Real industry experience for Graphic Design Students

Recently our Martin College Graphic Design students participated in a competition to design a logo for a new global business being launched in Brisbane. The name of the business is ‘The Travelling Prince’ and promotes accommodation exchange around the world.  Members register on their website and provide a good description of the property they wish to exchange as well as photographs, preferred destinations and possible dates that would be suitable for their travel plans.

Our students were given a design brief by the Company Directors and asked to produce some concepts to suit the brief. Our students excelled in this task. Roman Bachtold was awarded first prize for his efforts and will be developing the logo and additional branding further which the company. As well as receiving $350 worth of Myer shopping vouchers, he also gained real industry experience, while still studying, and has the added bonus of displaying the finished product in his portfolio.

Carl Bachmann received third prize (2 Gold class movie tickets plus snack voucher) and Fernanda Campos was awarded a Certificate of Participation.

We look forward to seeing the final product it is when launched early next year.  Details will be posted on our website.

Congratulations to all students who participated in the competition.
